New Member- Movin on up :)

Just wanted to introduce myself. On Monday, 3/22, I traded in my 2008 Honda Civic for this BEAUTIFUL 2006 G35x.

From this:

To this:

She got almost 90,000mi on her right now, but drives like new. As far as I can tell, it's got every possible option, too- bluetooth, smart key, nav, sirius radio w/lifetime activation, etc. She's bone stock right now (tinted, though), but thanks to g35driver.com, I already have some mods in mind. I'll probably start with the rev-up airbox, z-tube, and a K&N drop in. Then I'll get the MotorDyne 1/2" Plenum spacer. Then I have got to get rid of those wheels!

Stick with a dry filter, don't get the k&n one. Hks and Amsoil have nice dry filters.

Congrats on the new ride, looks real clean.

Looking good! Only thing is those tail-lights... circles are played out man, you need to trade for the GRID ones, there the best! I just happen to have a set laying around...

(everyone just shut up)

Welcome to the forum, and convey my sincerest condolences to your bank account.

Nice!! Congrats! Looks just like mine! I wonder why you didn't get a fin for a GPS antenna instead of that block... Must have been a dealer option?? Man, I'm glad my car didn't come with a kid too... that'd be a deal breaker for me for sure!!

What's wrong with the K&N oiled filter? I have one. One thing I noticed though when I took my plenum off, is that my manifold and throttle body look greasier than others. Now that I've had the k&n for over a year, I'm sure the excess oil has been expelled out during WOT.

Have you or anyone for that matter had issues with oiled filters such as K&N?

Oh, nice car man. I was just gonna chime in and say that that's the rarely seen chrome wheel option. Your car is LOADED. PO must have had a fat pocket when he bought that thing new!

That's what I thought. I've been looking around the boards for about 2 weeks and I think I've only seen 1 other car with those wheels.

I really wonder what the original window sticker price was.

Check the folder with the owner's manual the sticker might be in there. With NAV and sat radio I'm guessing close to 40K even.
