I have a 06 TB with the ash color (light gray) with brushed aluminuim finish. I was told this is a rare combination by the dealership. Most of the TB in VA I have seen had the tan interior color.

TB with black interior has got to be pretty rare then. When I was looking for a G, I always filtered my search by black interior and only found, Black, red, and silver/gray G's.

Wow, tht's very strange because I had a brochure from 2005 and was very disappointed that you couldn't get the graphite interior with TB. And every resource I've seen shows that TB wasn't available in 2006, just Lakeshore Slate or Athens Blue (on the Coupe only). In fact, when I was buying my car through an Infiniti auction, I was told that the TB/G wasn't an option for 05-06, confirming my suspicions, so you've got a bit of an anomaly there David.

Honestly, I think we do have our facts straight. I'm not trying to argue, because the pictures speak for themselves, but every single reference I've found, either online or elsewhere, confirms what I said. But I also think his car is some weird anomaly. I had a brochure from then and distinctly remember thinking Infiniti had screwed up by limiting the interior options on their cars. I wanted a blue G35 and knew I couldn't get it with the black leather. Seemed really stupid to me. They'd done it in 2004, so why have the same exterior color available but remove one of the interior options? And it wasn't because it was a dark color, because OB was available with Graphite.

I also had this confirmed when I bought my car. The Infiniti dealer was going to an Infiniti-only auction and we looked into the color options, not only of what was coming up at auction, but of what was even available those years. I was told TB and LS did not come with Graphite as a standard color option in 2005 or 2006.

David, you're a lucky guy. Wanna trade?

EDIT: Just saw that David is Canadian (or at least in Canada). It's very possible that that color combo wasn't available down here in the US but was available up there. Which makes Infiniti's color options logic even more baffling.

^Very interesting link.

03/04 every color was availible with either interior. I think it should always be like that.

Me too. There's no reason whatsoever to limit the buyer's options. Thanks for the link David.

Same here.

just now, for fun, i went to build a g37 convertible.

red interior is only available on grey exterior?

why.. i like red interiors on some better colors like OB or IP...

especially with a convertible where people can see inside easil.y

Nissan did the same thing with the Murano. 2004 you could get blue with black interior. 2005 you could still get that combo, but only on the SE and not the SL. Made no sense.

I'm very happy with my DG/G combo, but in hindsight, I might have purchased a TB with Stone* and swapped out the Stone carpet for a Graphite carpet. Then only the doors and seats would be Stone. Having a Stone carpet in Michigan is just asking for trouble. I'm sure you can relate. My Mazda CX-7 was setup like that, black dash, black carpet, white-ish colored seats.

* couldn't do it with Wheat because the dash/steering wheel are also Wheat. They're black with Stone.
