Pushing the G!
Hey,
I haven't had the opportunity to really DRIVEEEEEE my car and feel all the horses working together yet, if you know what I mean, and I'm hoping I will be able to soon. Just wanted to hear your experiences on how great these engines really are.
I have a '05 G35x. And for average driving its great. I have a friend who has a '92 Skyline GT-R Turbo charged! I know I will not beat him but racing will be exhilarating nonetheless. So I'm pretty excited about that.
How many of you have some racing stories to share?

You wanna race, I don't against it, take it to the tracks instead of those highway fly-by stories. Yes this car handles, I can tell you that from first hand experience. Not gonna go into details about it, but try it out with some fresh tires and have some fun on the tracks. It'll be one worthy day of yours.
Sure as hell hope you won.
I used to think my car was fast, then attempted to pass someone in a mazda 6 who then floored it, then I just passed anyways.. I concluded that I still think my car is quite fast.

OP - i took on my friend's '04 350Z at a local drag strip in 2008. i blew him away 4-0. that's my only experience.

14 second cars aren't really fast by today's standards. A lot of 4-door sedans these days can put down a 14-second slip.
Nowadays, there are 11 and 12 second cars stock off the showroom floor, and the new G37x could prob run a 13 second ET very easily bone stock.
Doesn't mean it's not fun. I'll be at the track in 2 weekends to race mine. I'm in a bracket race competition, so it should be easy for me vs a bunch of stick cars.

^^ Perfect examples of what I was talking about. I don't think they were talking about a track.
