The sunroof on my 04 G35 Sedan is stuck in the tilt up position.

The sunroof switch and motor appear to be working fine as I can hear the motor running when i press the button to open or close (tilt up/tilt down) the sunroof. It sounds like the connection between the motor and mechanism used to open/close the sunroof is disengaged/broken. Now I can hear a new noise that repeats every 1-2 seconds. It sounds like something is dragging or rubbing.

Any idea what might have happened or how to fix it?

brobably a belt or whatever way the motor is connected broke or slipped off.
i have a bad feeling that you will need to drop the headliner to get to the mechanism
