OP, if all else fails, use a light wet abrasive such as plastx used in headlight restoration.

woah, wouldnt 100 grit be a a little TOO ROUGH?
and as for the buffer, id recommend a Porter Cable 7424XP.
It does wonders and it will never harm/burn your paint.

if there is a bump in the clear coat possibly some 1200+ grit wet/dry sandpaper and then rubbing compound might work.

Put 3M compound above headlight stuff in your list. Headlight restoration really isn't made for paint, and some of them can actually damage the paint.

I wouldn't sand paint at all... Honestly to me it looks like the "G35" part is a different color than the whole car, rather than just being "outlined" as if there were residue left. I would guess this is due to the wax that's on the paint that didn't get under the "G35". I would wait and see what it looks like after a few washes and waxes then go from there.
ok so here is my update.
i did use the goo gone which helped on releasing the small amounts of grime it still had. i then proceeded to some 3M Compound which im not sure helped..
i still feel that slight bump in between where the letters were, what do u guys think i should do next? or should i just take it to some shop so they can work on that part?
