can this be polished? or should i rebadge?

so after an hour or so and taking most of the crap off using simply wd40 this is what it came down to, so i was wondering if this can be polished out or should i just rebadge it... what ya think

edit: when i touch both sides there is a little bump in there, if u see the lining of the g35 its there.. does that mean the coating is damaged? because it sure feels like it.

My guess is you still have some gunk on the trunk. Try something more solvent than WD 40, maybe Goo Gone. If that doesn't work you might try a clay bar. If all else fails it might be removed by a good polish but it's hard to tell just from a picture.

i did hit it with a few rounds of clay bar, but it seemed super smooth, would goo gone actually work if the clay bar didnt seem to take effect?

Polish should take it off, they say if you leave it in the sun it should fade away too

thanks i just bought the regular goo gone, they had like extreme and others, idk so just went with the original. i think your right on the fade, it will need some catching up to do. i like how it looks with no g35 badges.

when applying the goo gone, any methods u guys had that worked best? should i put much pressure when cleaning the stuff? just wanna do it right lol

I'd be skeptical to apply a lot of pressure, so try with little pressure and if it's not working use medium pressure. I wouldn't do what kenny did but that's just me

Did you just barely hit it with the clay bar, or spend some time? Sometimes the clay bar only takes off a little bit, but if you keep at it, it'll slowly pull stuff right out of the paint.

Clay bar is not goin 2 help alot, but goo gone shoulud fade it away a lil.
This is what i did, scrub it with sum goo gone and put a lil pressure on it, do it for at least 5 mins, then put sum scratch X on it (2 coating), and scrub for at least 5 minss each time. this sud smotth it out,. Last is take out the buffer n put it into work. Whole process should take you 30 mins max.
