Halogen vs xenon headlights
Halogen vs xenon headlights
Alright, so I'm in the process of getting a damaged 2003 g35. Just needs a bit of body work but nothing biggie.
From my research and understanding, my car has the halogen headlights.
Now, the passenger side headlight is damaged and will need to be replaced but I'm wondering is it possible to put in a xenon headlight with no problems?
Perhaps whats I could do is get a xenon headlight and upgrade the halogen bulb to a xenon headlight? what would I need other than the bulb and the headlight itself? I've searched but can't seem to find much on this topic.
Any help would be great. thanks.

They are differnet housings and will project the light differently. So if you had one side OEM HID and the other a halogen housing with an HID kit, the lights won't cast evenly. The aftermarket side will glare slightly.
if you want HIDs, the right way to do it is to get OEM HID housings and hid parts.

Humm I have an extra set of hid headlights. I am debating if I should get rid of them or do the projector project.

You need the xenon headlight housings, Matsu$hita Gen 4 ballasts and ignitors, D2R bulbs, and most likely something for the harness.
