They had to change the engine to accomodate a higher redline. The new redline is 7000rpm for the 6mt.

I see now that premium fuel is required. Also looks like the front brake rotors grew about half and inch. I wonder if the larger rotors will bolt onto the 03/04's?

Looks like the curb weight went up too on all the models. The 6MT is now a porky 3,512 lbs! That's 100+ more than 03', 04's models. I like the raised redline to 7000 rpm though.

On average both Sedan and Coupe have an increase of ~100 pounds. This may mean that the extra 20 or so ponies will not shave of as much off the 0-60 or 1/4 mile times as everyone was thinking

From a sport coupe perspective..... extra 100lb is A LOT of weight. I can clearly feel the 150lb in our coupes compared to the 350Z, another 100lb is not going to help too much. Oh well, let's hope they added 100lbs of high quality interior material and beefy standard brakes.

Yeah I want to know if the brakes are switchable too. I think auto gets more tq because of its torque converter system.Suppose to be the 6mt engine.

I think we need to reserve judgement on this "weight gain" until we see something final. Why would the G35X lose 27 lbs and the 6MT gain 114 lbs??? Is there any logical explanation for this?

Also, it looks like these pages were "thrown together" and uploaded to infinitinews.com. First of all, the spec page is not aligned correctly. I already spotted 1 typo (on one page, it says the length of the sedan is 186.5 in., and on another page it says 186.9 in..

Don't look now, but the SEDAN already has killer brakes - witness the 60 MPH to Zero distance of 110 feet by Motor Trend - better than a $285,000 Lamborghini Murcielago !!
