Just ordered new Compression rod bushings from the local dealership and paid $52 for both of them. Much cheaper than getting the whole compression rod for $180 each.

Does this prevent the front end from rattling like crazy?

btw where did you order the bushings from? I contacted my local infiniti dealer and the parts guy said they bushings come with the compression rods.

They do come with the compression rods, but they're also sold separately. The part numbers are as follows:

BUSH - COMPR ROD (2WD)
54570-AC70A
$18.84

BUSH - COMPR ROD (AWD)
54570-AC71A
$15.28

Prices are from www.infinitipartsusa.com

I believe this is the common resolution to the 'squeaky' sound. Read up on it in the forum.

I believe others have had a machine shop do it for around $80-$100. I wonder if something like this would work:

If not, maybe this combo: http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/cta...temnumber=1666
