CD player stopped working??

I have an 05 g35x stock 6 cd changer, not bose. and when i press the cd button to turn on a cd it just flashes and says press eject, when i press eject it just flashes eject but nothing happens. so I have 6 cd's stuck in the changer and cant play any of them. Any ideas anyone??

Did you try to shut the power off then on, or disconnect your battery? good luck.

Don't laugh but you might try whacking the side of the console pretty hard. It has worked for quite a few members here but most of those had an 03-04.

mine froze up, luckily dealer replaced the whole head unit under warranty! apparently its a problem in our cars, especially the cds with cheap paper labels!

if mine wasn't covered by warranty it woulda been an excuse for DOUBLE DIN!!!!

my nav system was frozen up the same way,
what i did was stick a credit card in, actually it was thinner than a credit card but still plastic,

so stick it in and pull it back out,
it should trigger a sensor and pop the stuck cd out,
worth a try

i stuck one of those wallet calenders in there, try puttin gin the middle

i was surprised it worked

ok guys thanks for the help. i tried shutting the power off and back on and that didnt work. didnt try disconnecting the battery yet. so ill try that. thanks

what kind of warranty are you guys talking about? my disc changer stopped working about 6 months ago. will the dealer replace it for free?

There is no special warranty for the radio/CD. You are only covered under the basic 4/60, or extended warranty (if you purchased one).

yeah, mine was replaced 3 times, they were reman units, finally the last time they put in a new one and "cross my fingers" its been fine
