My new SSW rims on my G35 Sedan 2003. Is a K&N Air Filter worth it?
I've run the following and in this order:
1) K&N
2) Amsoil
3) NAPA Gold paper
The K&N just looked nasty after a year and Nissan MAFs elements hate filter oil. After seeing a layer of oil residue (K&N was never serviced) on my MAF's screen, I cleaned the MAF and tossed the K&N. I then got the Amsoil filter. It was fine for about 2 years and then the elemnt got gummey and the dirt/debris wouldn't blow out with the air gun. I tossed that and went with a $12 NAPA Gold/Wix filter and replace annually.

Yup. I'll probably clean the Amsoil a few times and ditch it at some point (after reading Dave's thread).
It's what has me sorta worried about the all dry filter elements. You can't get the filter 100% clean again. Perhaps if you can wash it like the K&N. But teh amsoil you don't, R2C you don't....

R2C actually recommends washing their filters with Oxyclean or a similar detergent when they get dirty. One of the reasons I bought that intake. I also have an extra filter so I can give the washed one plenty of time to dry before I use it again.

Hit up M Motorsports to order the filter. He should be able to get you a good price, tell him I referred you.
The filter is 5" across at the front, 8" from side to side at the biggest part of the end, and 7 1/2 inches high. As you can see from the pic it's freaking huge.

I think I'd need the one they advertise as the JWT replacement. It should have the same big 6" opening to fit their machined velocity stack. Mine is the Stillen but the stacks are the same. Looks like yours uses something similar. What is the opening size on the MAF side? ie.. the part the band clamp.
