Aero Package install. ??????'s

Hey guys,
I'm getting my aero package installed this week, and was wondering something. When they install the spoiler, do they remove the third light from the rear deck?
I hope they do, if not doens't that look kinda blah!!!!!!

Just wondering.
thanks

They usally just disconnect the wire going to it and leave it in place since removing it would leave a hole in the rear deck lid

Re: Aero Package install. ??????'s

I believe Built2Shred is right. I couldn't find a car that matched my criteria with the Aero package so I asked about getting the packaged installed at the dealership. They told me that they just disconnect the CHMSL and cover it up with black tape. I guess that would look fine for most people but I'm kind of picky and if it couldn't look like it came from the factory with the Aero package, I didn't want it. The dealership said they could replace the whole package tray (parcel shelf, rear deck lid, or whatever you like to call it) but it would be very expensive.

Ya...I have read the same thing. But disconnecting it would be ok for me. I can't see it really from the driver's seat, and when I get tint, it will be covered up.
I just wanted to make sure that it's disconnected, I definitely dont' want four brake lights.

thanks

Got the same situtation. I have tint on my windows. Perhaps you might consider doing the same; it'll mask the extra light (disconnected.)

Re: Aero Package install. ??????'s

Dropped my car off friday to have the aero pkg. installed and some noises fixed.
Well they get to keep it for a few more days, guess it takes a while to fix all thos noises and install the spoiler.

On the other hand, I'd rather have it done correctly.

Going to be taking a tape measure with me to make sure the spoiler is on right.

thanks
