Re: my sport kit

How is your drop? I have the H-Techs but they seem way softer than the stock sport suspension. I'm possibly looking into the Eibach prokit now.

Re: my sport kit

the car handles MUCH better and has a tight suspension. EIBACHS are great...

Re: my sport kit

Heres info on compairing stiffness, notice that the H-techs are only 5% stiffer in the front and actually 22% softer in the rear then oem.

Oem sport suspension spring rates
front 314lbs rear 342lbs

Tein H-tech for G35 (fronts are progressive, rears are linear)
324/260 F+ 5% R-22%
Transfers +27% roll stiffness to front

Here's the rate for the sedan Eibachs. The first rate is the softer initial spring rate. Once those coils bind, the firmer higher spring rate comes into play. While cornering keep in mind that since they are progressive one side of the car is on the softer rates while the other is on the higher rates, the linear oem springs do not do that. Furthermore the progressive nature reduces turn in performance, steering feel and adds to weight transfer issues, this is the price to pay for using progressive springs on performance. RSR 350Z springs offer peak rates of 345/417 and little progressive spring compromise. Do keep in mind that no matter what the oem shocks are not tight or really performance oriented, especially non sport shocks. Improving shock/dampner control is the key to making real world improvments on any G

G35s 259/334 front 359/413 rear

Re: my sport kit

VQG3504,
How is the ride comfort on the Eibach springs? I just bought some Tein H-tech springs and going to have them install soon. My wife drive the car mostly and I don't want her to bit*h too much about the ride after i install the springs. If it was me driving the car, i would definately get the best performance springs.

Re: my sport kit

Needless to say, from a performance minded perspective, the Eibach Pro Kit would not be the spring of choice with its progressive setup and very soft intial front spring rate.
