17x9 front offset

I searched the forum and couldn't find the answer. Anyhow, I want to run 17x9 non staged on the sedan with 255/4017 tires or 265/40/17 if possible for the autocross stx class. I can roll fenders but can't alter the outside fender line of the car. I would prefer not to roll at all.

According to the FAQ it states a 8.5 with a 40 will fit but not the size of the tire camber etc. Does anyone have any experience with this?

I would roll fenders; if not be necessity, then at least as a precaution.

What kind of suspension are you running?

I'd go with something a little taller for our courses, maybe a 255/45/17... but our courses are set up by C4 and C5 guys that like a back straight where they can hit 90.

Scroll down, guy with a 20 x 9.0 with a +38 offset. Just use a tire size calculator to convert for the 17" rim.

I wish I could trust some off the offsets etc for the larger wheels. The biggest issue I see is that a smaller wheel with a taller tire tends to bulge more and cause more of a clearance issue between the upright and the tire. He is also running a 245 not a 255.

Our courses typically don't go over 70mph. I also would like the g35 to share the same tire sizes as my s2000.
I am running 350z revised springs and koni sports.
