When I broke my driver side mirror(dont ask) I found a replacement glass for 20 bucks, its one of those stick on ones, but I took out my broken glass and replaced it with the replacement glass.

It just needed some glue/goop to hold it in place, and for it to be perfect it just needs to be a few MM bigger (width and height) and a bit thicker so that the gasket sits flush. So I don't think it will cost that much more to make it a insert.

Best bet would be to measure the OEM glass exactly and prototype from that.

Also I hope they make Driver and Passenger(Magnified) glass, and not just the Magnified for both.

That's what I was thinking. I would rather pop the old glass out if possible just because I'm a perfectionist and would notice the two layers.

That also might let you keep the heating feature? Not sure if the heating element is part of the glass or just behind it. To tell you the truth, I don't even know if my mirrors are heated. I've never needed them to be.

So is that the back side of the glass or the plastic holder you attach the glass to?

I've actually thought about this before, but I prefer having the heated option and I need a perfect fit since I'm so ****. Love the blue that comes with the Euro's though.

Lol. Well, with my previous car I would drive late at night and my car would be outside during the evening and during the super cold nights I'd have to wipe it off. Sometimes I don't have anything to wipe off with either...ehh, maybe I'll be in on it, just depends on how fitment is. The one on the white coupe has terrible fitment.
