Good MultiSeason Tires?
<--04G35 RWD sedan/auto. Hello,so i need new tires, preferably multi-season cause im in Chicago and was wondering what people were riding on.Im looking to get the Bridgestone potenza aer960 pole position,i think thats what theyre called...but my main focus is good all around weather conditions, including light-med snow.If anyone has any good suggestions that would be great!thanks

The Bridgestone 960 pole position is an excellent tire. It handles well in dry and wet and very quiet and the wear is very good also. I have them on my wife's car. The michelin primacy, which I have on my G now since 10/2009, is also a very good tire. The handling is very good in both dry and wet and the wear factor is very high, 600, so it should last pretty long. I have personal experience in these tires. Hopo this info helps.

Thanks guys,ok so heres the verdict i guess. Its either the Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS pole.pos. Sizes 215/45R17($162).
215/50R17($175).
225/45R17($155), weird pricing on these.OR the
Michelin Pilot Sport A/S+. Sizes 215/45R17($149).
225/45R17($162).
225/50R17($157).
so the michelin's in 215/45's are tempting, cause theyre cheaper in price and are rated better all around than the potenzas. But my question is why would they make one in 215/50's as well? isnt the /50 describing the profile of the tire?Let me know what u guys think should be right.I got the sport package which is a stiffer ride in general, and it comes with the 17"s OEM which are stock 215/55R17.

Well im actually reconsidering the potenza 960's after reading the low rated reviews of the michelin pilot sport A/S+,everyone is saying how mushy they are,and that the sidewalls are too soft of a ride, also that after about 20K they are louder than a semi going down the highway.Trying to find an all around good tire with my wants, is harder than i imagined.

Those sizes are all smaller than the stock circumference. For example, 215/45R17 is over 6% too small. Since they didn't make the RE960 in the stock size, I bought mine in 235/50R17 - it's a perfect match to the stock circumference and about 3/4 inch wider, but well within spec for the stock wheel width.
