5AT Transmission Issue, please help

Tried searching but I could not find anything for my problem. I don't even know how to really explain, i'll try my best.
Let say I'm on Drive and cruising along, when I floor the gas pedal, it takes longer than normal for the downshift to happen, sometimes really long! It's scary.
Also, even when not flooring the gas pedal, but just normal accelerating, at the same conditions, so let's say I'm doing 50km/h or something and then hit the gas pedal like half way or something, it doesn't downshift.

It just doesn't feel like it used to, there is this late response, i can feel it, it's weird.

Now, our G is mostly driven by the gf, hence it's automatic since she doesn't drive manual, so I am not fond to auto. and i don't have a lot of experience with them, but i know something is off, what could this be? is there clutches that are going in it? I did the oil change maybe like 3 months ago.

Is this gunna cost me a tranny, or whats the deal!

Please help and thanks in advance!

the throttle is obviously controled by a computer, If the majority of the time the car is driven by a person with a light foot, The reaction time is going to be very different. There is a way to reset it, but just start driving the car more often, It should adapt to your techniques soon. It doesnt sound like you have tranny problems so I wouldnt worry about it!

take it into manual mode and drive it like a man for a bit and the fun will transfer over when you slide it into drive
