Anyway i can fix this?
19's should be the biggest reason pair that up with some low pro summer tires that have like 33% life on them. 20k is a lot of them.
you also have to factor in your pairing up a suspension that wasn't designed for the car. you said Z/G setup, i assume that means springs and shock/struts...
Best and fastest way right now is put on your winter setup and drive down the same road to see if its your suspension doing more of the harsh feel or the wheels.
When i drove my car with the 17s on, it felt so much smoother. Like the steering wheel turned a lot more nicely, and it absorbed the bumps better, but i attribute that to the fact that there is so much more side wall.
I might swap em out next week and drive around a bit again, but im fairly sure its the wheels.

With my current susp setup, i cant tell much difference between the 19s and 17s that i use in the winter. Like Dave said, its definately the midwest roads, they are horrible. When its smooth rode, i feel like im in a lexus.
You're just going to want a thick sidewall, higher aspect ratio. Go with the smaller diameter wheels with higher aspect. SUV owners realize they made a poor decision when they throw on 22s with really low profiles and the ride is absolutely horrific.

Thanks. I like the overall look of the coupe 19s I'm running now better, but the 18s have a better finish IMO.
No, I actually like how it rides but its more on the stiff side (that's what she said
). I like how it responds in corners and has less give when stepping on the gas so there's less wasted energy on compression. Sounds like you want something that is more comfy and cushiony. Nothing wrong with that. That's what I liked about the G when I first bought it.

The shorter sidewalls aren't doing you any favors nor the much wider contact patch. The reason the 17s turn so much easier is because the contact patch is so much narrower.
I recently drove a friends bone stock 04 non-sport sedan and it was shocking the difference in ride, quietness, and handling. Granted my 18" PZeros are right near their operational life and roar on asphalt surfaces, this stock G felt like a Camry in comparison. It was extremely quiet, road softly, and handled like a wet pork chop.

Like others said, 20K miles on high performance rubber means the tires are getting close to dead. Performance tires get loud, grainy, and stiff once they surpass about 60 to 70% of their life. You really can't expect more than 20 to 25K miles out of a decent set of high performance rubber.

Bleh. Im such an old man.

I'v been thinking about this topic every time i'v jumped in my car. Im almost thinking, screw it and buy some new tires, but im just so afraid that i'll drop 7 bills on some new tires and have it still ride like complete ****. That and i need compression rods, an alignment, tranny flush, front bumper repaint, etc. It's a good thing i have a lot of jobs coming up. My car decided to be a money pit at the worst possible time...

You are an old man... so if you move to FL it's either Boca or Sarasota for you
Cracks me up that you refer to your ride as "bone shattering" You should ride in my cousin's 350Z!!
I trust you'll lmk if you really do decide to get rid of exhaust components

We stayed in Jupiter, it was quite old lol
BTW, anyone have a spare door laying around? I REALLY need this bracket (has to be from a sedan)

The screw goes through the hole in the top of the arm rest
