im 20 and I didnt pay a cent for my 2006 g35 and I couldn't be any happier. Back to the OP; I think my car is good for a ~5 second 0-60. Just takes a perfect launch and I'm talking high-mid 5 second Maybe could do a low 5 second, but I have not recorded such a time in my car. On the otherhand I only have recorded my zero to sixty on a rare occasion. maybe a tune could flatten out the torque curve for you and have you 0-60 in 5s.

Lol. I'm am engineer...so you are already there.

Actulally, I work with a lot of $100k-200k+/year people at my work. You would be amazed at what they drove. Parking lot is actually full of beat up tpyotas and minivans and such. The CEO clears 4 million a year and drive a new subaru outback. My previous boss was a millionaire and drove a dodge dokota every day.

The richest people I know....don't show it. However the people who I know live paycheck to paycheck seem to want to put on an act like they have money

Okay....way off topic.

^If I made 4M/year, I just might DD a subie... wouldn't be an outback though (wink wink )

To add to the right turn this thread has taken - people of different ages have different priorities - there is a kid in his 20's at my work who just bought a BMW i135 - and he is a warehouse worker. I don't know how he makes the payments. He rents a place with two other guys so he also has rent payments.

A guy that works with me has a real nice charger "wait oxymoron" but cant even pay his rent! @Gnightsedan Lucky break man but if you want 0-60 without doing anything at all just get some1 to drop it nose 1st out a plane! LOL
ok now back 2 regularly scheduled tread-so would small bolt ons like pop charger z tube 5/16 PS and an exhaust swap get me there? maybe at least 300 horses?

i really don't think from a pop charger z tube and exhaust you will get near 300 WHP ... all that there is probably 700-800 bucks and lucky to get a solid 15WHP out of that

Maybe 300 HP to the crank but nowhere close at the wheels.

Those mods are a good start though.

Not always the case. I had a Trans-Am at 17, and actually drove fairly careful, even when I had other teenage guys (or girls) in the car. Yeah, I did a little showing out, but nothing major... for about 5 years... during which time my driving got more and more "ballsy" (read wreckless ) until I put my 2nd TA sideways into the woods while driving way too fast on a curvy road... then I decided to slow down a bit and buy a nice sedan

G35's aren't exactly corvettes. I wouldn't consider it a high performance car. It's quick...but what family sedan these days can't bang a 14 second et? There are Mazda 6 out there that can prob smoke a g35 these days. He'll there are minivans and SUVs that can run 14's.

It has more to do with the "I am gonna do 90 down residential streets in the rain" sort of thinking which gets people in trouble. When I was 17...I did some stupid stuff in some pretty fast cars...as well as in some slow *** cars. Stupid is ageless.
