G35 Sedan

Hi I'm looking into buying a 03/04 G35 Sedan. I've done some research and one of the main problems with the G35 is the thin brake pads. Is this an issue for you guys and are they expensive to replace?

What are some pros and cons about this car?

Much help appreciated

i wouldnt worry about the brake pads, and they are cheap to replace if you want standard ones.

Pros: these cars are just awesome, great aftermarket community as you can see
Cons: you may spend a lot of money modding, cant really make them fast without spending serious money.

For someone in Canada, I'd get HPs instead of HPSs. HPSs need a little heat in them to start biting.

I wouldn't worry about brakes, that's an easy fix

Pros: Lots of fun for a 4-door
Cons: Answering the same questions over and over

Get a later model. first gen is too annoying to mod. As stated above, there aren't any real gains without going FI. If you get the new g37's they are so restricted that simple mods will get you great gains.

^Although for the price gap, you could afford to go FI on a first gen

My advice. Spend a bit more and get an 05+. Better brakes, better interior. I think better automatic tranny shift logic. It's worth it.

Agreed. Unless it's an X, then he should get the '06 for the better brakes. Wish I would have known that when I bought mine.

Good point. But it's not too bad to upgrade to the better brakes vs new pads/rotors for your old ones. I'm talking $400 for pads/calipers/rotors/lines.
