the drivers seat will be plug and play, passengers seat might need to be rewired for the forward/back tilt, but the wiring up is pretty simple.

Actually most likely both seats will need to be re-wired. Here's why:

On your 05 Sedan with no memory: Driver side main harness has 4 pins, passenger side has 4 pins;

On the 06 coupe seats with memory: Driver side main harness has 16 pins, passenger side has 12 pins;

06 coupe seats with no memory: Driver side harness has 12 pins, passenger has 12 pins.

Hope this helps.

Hmm didn't know that.

Well I did the coupe front seat conversion, and it went like this for me.

2003 Doggy Door with Memory Seats

2004 Coupe Seats, no memory seat function, no power recline.

2003 M45 Adjustable headrests.

The drivers seat was plug and play, the connectors were all identical and both seats had that computer module in them.

The passengers seat on the other hand, the sedan seat had no module, it was just a 4pin connector controlling power recline and power forward and backward, while the 2004 Coupe Seat, had a module in it, and had the same connector style as the drivers seat. It was a simple straight wiring up of the switch to the motor that moves the seat forward and backwards.

Heated seats were identical connectors as well as side impact air bags.

M45 Headrests were a direct swap, leather had the same grain.

My coupe seat swap was the best mod I could have done to my sedan. The stock sedan seats are like park benches, not too sure what Infiniti was thinking when they designed them.

^If my car was a different color, and I had black interior maybe... only problem would be getting the back seats to match. I'd have to have them reupholstered :/

Anyone one here swapped in the Z seats? Curious how they'd work, like, if they'd actually match or look way out of place.

IIRC someone did, and the seat rails required some modding to mount on our G's.

Very similar to coupe seats, may require splicing and rail swap...z seats sit lower

This is a mod I've long wanted to do. Seats just never come up FS locally.

+1, Sedan driver seat with memory will be a direct swap with 04+ coupe driver seat with no memory. The heated seat wiring is connected to the main harness so once you connect the wire the heated seat will work if heated seats are originally equipped.

BTW you got any picture of your coupe seat with M45 headrest? Is it bulkier than the sedan ones?
