Unhappy headlights, highbeams, flashers, won't turn on. What's the problem?

So I'm trying to drive home last night, turn on the car, everything is working, but I go to switch the outside lights on and I get nothing. Try the parking lights, get nothing. Try the high beams get nothing. Not good! I check the back and the brake lights are working, so decide to try the emergency flashers, nothing! The blinkers work, all the lights inside work. I try to dim the dashboard lights, that doesn't work either. I also noticed when I try to lock my car, the doors lock, but it doesn't make the noise when the alarm is activated. Finally make it home, we check all circuits and they all have the U shaped on them, so they are good. Due to the fact it was a hot weekend, the radiator fan was blowing to cool itself off once the car was turned off. It continued to run for an hour or two after the car was turned off, strange. Once everything was turned off, we hear a clicking noise coming from the battery, sounded like something was still running, when everything had been turned off. I think a ghost is playing games on my car, but any suggestions?? Thanks.

sounds like you have a relay that is sticking

relays will click from time to time

I had this happen to one of the company trucks and the battery was dead every 3 or 4 days. Turned out to be a sticky AC relay. $6 later and no more battery problems.
