Blown airbags
Blown airbags
I purchased a wrecked G35 sedan with both front airbags deployed. Is my only option to pay the Infiniti dealer $3500 for 2 bags, clocksprings and sensors (labor not included. Thanks for any help
Re: Blown airbags
I would also look on www.car-part.com----- I found some seat airbags and a passenger airbag, but no driver.
this site has a ton of late-model parts.

You can try Infiniti Parts.com:
http://infiniti-parts.com/?OVRAW=g35...OVMTC=standard
On a side note. I think this is one item that you just bite the bullet and buy from them. If you ever crash, this may be what keeps you alive.

Hey whats up? I am about to take the plung myself in purchasing a G35 that has been hit. Do you think I could ask you for some advice on repairs? Thank you in advance.

You're probaly looking at the white one on ebay. I'd say minimum 8000 to fix, probably 10,000, and thats if you find an inexpensive person to do the work and you locate some of the more expensive parts, ie driver airbag and seat air bag radiator ac condensor. It looks to me like the frame portion where the bumper bolts on is Jacked up, but the add says its ok, I dont think its OK. There is a chance the engine will have issues due to the fact that you can tell the engine was hit. If the engine and tranny have zero issues its a good deal if they do...
If you have someone that has a COPART.COM account you get any car from there, there are a lot of g35s there. And before buying it try to look if the engine is not moved in any way or damaged in any way.
I myself would never buy a car that I have to replace the engine, because it is pain in the ***, and you never know if the body man can even make the frame like it was before.
So my conclusion is find a very good body man, and don't buy wrecked cars where the engine needs to be replaced.
