Help on audio, please!
wtf? you definitely dont want coaxials, if you are redoing the speakers inside, get components for the front and forget the rears. if you amp the fronts enough and tune everything well, there is absolutely no need for rear speakers
Some people (me included) prefer their cars to be more like headphones with the surround sound. I'm not going to ever fool myself that the band in on my dashboard, so I'll take the nice surround setup instead. Most music is mastered by the sound engineers to be listened to via headphones anyway.
interesting.. but in a proper setup ie:front stage only, the sound is much cleaner and clearer because you have less sources of the same frequency bouncing around in the small cabin of a car.. plus with component speakers properly amped, you will never ever notice that you dont have rearfill anymore, other than the clarity factor, even if you regularly have rear passengers.
but to each his own

do you really think that a proper setup would not require proper tuning in of the crossover on an amp? oh and front stage only means not wiring the rears and a sub takes care of the low notes that the components are setup not to play
a full speaker replacement tuned correctly is gonna sound better than one with stock rear speakers tuned correctly everytime. Speakers are only like 60-80 bucks for a decent brand
