Has anyone done a resonator delete? If so how did you like it and how did it change the exhaust note.

ive done it and it sounds really good in my opinion. its a different sound than using an exhaust. it gives you a deeper and louder sound. only one complaint, when you go WOT from a slow speed it doesnt sound so good. this only happens when your going say 25 and then go WOT it sounds kinda off. butt if you just accelarate hard as you go through the gears and rpms it sounds beautifull

I had the resonator removed from my 05 which is a lager muffler, and I really liked the sound. Only as ^ said when you go WOT or sometimes just even a heavy load you will get rasp. Depends on what you like, personally I thought this setup made my favorite sound but the rasp caused me to eventually change it. Originally I just had a small Magnaflow straight-through race muffler in place of the resonator and that was a great sound. With the Magnaflow resonator it opened up the sound and eliminates rasp..

What would be a good engine oil for my 06X if:

Car has 28k miles.
I drive fast/spirited.
I'm in Chicago.
Mostly short trips (less than 10 mi) through the suburbs. So some stop/go.
I never hit 3K and always switch before at/round 3 months.

I just got the car so I don't know what has been used in it prior. My first oil change was just regular oil. Whatever the dealer used, I believe it was castrol.

I'll probably be changing it myself now and plan to send a sample to blackstone labs just for curiosity.

Anyway, any recommendations based on my particular driving style?
