Can someone just run out to their car and tell me if the plate bracket (black thing that the plate bolts into is attached to the plate bulb enclosure?

Mines mcgyvered and I've wanted to make it proper again lol

 

They look separate.

Light Lenses snap into a metal bracket screwed to the bumper,

Plate bolts to a plastic frame screwed into the bumper. From my wiggle test, they don't look or feel connected to each other.

A cop pulled me over and kindly told me to fix it.

I lied, but I knew it was inside my bumper.

 

I kinda like having a tag light out... it gives the cop something to do.
More than once, I've been pulled and told I had a tag light out (different vehicles) and he didn't even mention the fact that I was 10 over... or illegal tint... etc.
