Who here Drive Manumatic/Tiptronic?

Who here Drive Manumatic/Tiptronic all the time (daily driven)?

Been doing a lot of research but I was wondering would it mess up the transmission. I've been driving on it for a little bit over a month now.

Have there been any problem at all for those who driven it daily?
and What should i watch out for if its daily driven?

I drive in MM exclusively, I cannot drive in D any more. If I do I always pop it into N lol.

why would there be a problem? I don't get where this thought of putting it in MM harms the car.

Yeah, I am not sure where you are getting this idea from. If it caused a problem they would not have included it and left it as a standard automatic.

I think he is implying that holding a gear does heat up the trans more. However, I am sure the designers took this into consideration. Plenty of guys do it nonstop...and I have yet to hear of a failure due to it.

I rarely use mm mode....just not the same as a real manual trans and I lose interest.

My local dealer in SLC, Utah was telling me that they've seen problems with trans if people drive in MM a lot. Mostly with 2004.5-2007 models. I don't know why.

I have an 05 with around 105k miles (had it since new)and use mm pretty frequently (I love the sound of the rev match). I also change my trans fluid every 20k or so (drain and fill) no problems here.

I think the problem he is worried about is that some people dont know when to shift

My friend with a RSX shifts at like 6,500 RPM...says he gets the most out of each gear...
