EBC redstuff brake pad problem

So i got EBC brake pads a while ago and didnt like them but now they have stopped squeeling and sqeeking. However my mechanic made a huge mistake and he forgot to install pads on my rear right wheel. My dad just r replaced the pad on the wheel about a month ago and today i saw that it was gone again. Is there some kind of huge thing we're missing with the install? My dads crazy and claims someone is stealing it and is forcing me to buy locking lugnuts or something.

Any info would really help.

There is a spring like metal clip that helps hold the (outer) brake pad to the caliper. Is this clip missing? For the inner pad, the piston on the caliper should hold the pad to the rotor. Is the piston functioning properly? If the piston is not applying pressure on the pads and thus keeping them near the rotor, the pads might fall out of the caliper assembly.

When your rear pad was missing, was the rotor damaged? I would expect the caliper to damage the rotor in the event of a missing brake pad. Did you need to compress the piston to reinstall the new brake pad?

You might be missing the pad retainer clip or your caliper (piston) are not functioning properly.

Good luck

Do you have the inside pad on the inside? There's a little hook on it that slides inside of the caliper and stop it from falling off when the pad brakes are open.

Make sure the inside is going on the inside.

Nobody is stealing your brake pads...

They pads are where they are supposed to be. maybe there is a problem with the caliper or piston?

no one is stealing your pads. honestly that is TOO MUCH work to do to steal your pad. that could of easily done 1/2 the work and took your rim which is worth more.

take a picture of this "gone pad"

even if you wear it down you will have a hard time killing the metal backing. The pad will not fall out of the caliper since everything is bolted in and there is no room for it to just wiggle out.

Give us a picture of what you speak of and it will be easily solved.

any retard that does brakes will not forget to put the pad it. thats like driving with 3 wheels on.
