Ouch!! Where is my front end?

Sixteen year old son modified my front end, what do you think?

Replacement Front Bumpers. Should I go with:

1. KuRookie

2. Strafe

3. Nismo

4. OEM

^You could get a Hikkata Dori Nismo (unless you are one of the guys that refuses to run a FG bumper. And I know you guys have your reasons, so I don't want this to turn into another FG vs Poly debate...LOL)

OP, I would just get the bumper you like the best in terms of styling. All of us here will have different opinions. If you get anything other than an OEM bumper I would suggest that you either get side skirts and a rear lip OR paint your lowers, otherwise it will look off IMO.

The nismo looks great and I hope you beat the 16 yr old's ****. You guys share the G35?

My kid(s) are gonna get a Corolla or some other little econobox, that's for sure.

Wait, are you going to have to replace the fenders, too? May as well do a front end coupe conversion!

No **** beating, life happens. I am the original owner and still love the car. I told him I would sell him the G35 for $1,500 when I bought a new vehicle- no time frame given. He has been driving for about 1.5 mos and I was letting him drive it. It is my daily driver, so in retrospect, not the best decision to let him use it.

You are right, I really should have gotten him a beater, something disposable. I'm looking for a car for him now.

The good news is that insurnace will cover the costs of my previous mods and allow me to use any aftermarket parts I want, so I have a clean canvas to work with. By the time the car gets repaired it will seem like a brand new car for me, so chuclehead might have to wait another few years before I am done with the car.

Family pricing. I just felt like he should earn and pay some money rather than me just giving it to him. I might show up at the meet, but I may have to slum it in my FX.

Atleast its a safe car. Some little **** box may have just crumpled up and given your boy some injuries.

Yeah, I'm definitely looking for something safe for him, especially in light of this mva.
It was a low speed collision. Kind of an odd collision. He was only going about 5 mph. The left front of the G hit a Ford F150 rear oversized tire. The G was stopping and the F150 was accellerating. The big tire just ripped the G's front end forward and to the right. There was about an inch of "crush" damage to the LF fender at a 45 degree angle right behind the headlight. All the other damage was ripping and shearing forward and to the right.

It is amazing how that kinda stuff happens... i totalled a Ford Explorer lol rearended it with my old Trailblazer.

My mom works for Allstate though so when i was looking to get a car it had some strict 'safety' guidelines. Power didn't concern her because i grew up learning to drive in my dads 2004 G35x and was used to it. They really are great cars (we have had 3 and i'm probably gonna make that 4 come spring time)

If you trust your son (like you seem to considering you let him drive it) and if you are ready to get a new car, now is a good time to do it. Just have your son pay you the $1500 or whatever you wanted for it and go get yourself something new. G35s are getting so cheap now and considering that you can get the same amount of power out of a Toyota Camry, they aren't that ridiculously powerful. It is a safe, reliable car, just sell it to your son. lol tell him Wannabe6mt convinced you to
