Coolant!!!

so my car which is an 05 is at 115k and ever since I can remember is always low on coolant in the bottle. check the radiator and hoses for leaks and everything checks out ok! even had it check at the mechanic.. whats up with that anybody else notice that.. like every other month i fill the bottle to the max..

Did your mechanic perform a cooling system pressure test? I would start with that first.

I have 123,456 miles on my '05. I probably add some coolant every 6 months. I don't need to add it on a monthly basis. I did change the radiator cap a year ago at 100k mi. I think radiator cap replacement is listed in the factory maintenance schedule.

You might want to give that a try as it is a simple and inexpensive item to replace.

i'll try replacing the cap. just seems a little weird to be using that much and not seeing it on the ground or underneath! the coolant system was tested too btw.

Check your oil to see if you have a white foam or the oil cap if there's a white layer of some sort of substance. If you do I would get rid of this car ASAP since it could be your head gasket.
