Hey guys, I mostly lurk on here for the good knowledge but was curious about something and decided to post.

I received a notice saying that there is a possible failure with the side airbag and that I should bring it in for service regardless if I see a warning light or not. Anyone else get this?

 

I haven't received that one yet. Looking at your username, I'm guessing you own a 2004 G35X. Did the letter say what other models/years/VINs this recall affects?

I still need to schedule an appointment for the dealer to do the passenger airbag light/sensor recall on my car -- got that letter about 2 months ago.

 

Yep the only thing I didn't include in my name was trim and color lol.

The statement did have my vin number on it. I just found it funny that I was just at the dealer contemplating on trading it in and when they offered me 9grand for my great condition car I just walked away. Since then I received the notice and calls just about every day to come back.

 

I'm sitting here at Orlando Infiniti getting the airbag recall fix done on my car. My service advisor told me it's just relocating the connector for the SRS airbag. It takes 1 hr to perform from what I've been told.

 

Yes OP get it done, its free. I had it done a few weeks ago
