i got it for 480 with a NR G strut Bar, tomorrow going to the dealer and getting new seals and ima be installing it myself

the guy wants to sell me his Dryflow AEM Intake for 75 bucks i think he said not sure if i should jump on it.

also what are the main differences in type 1 and 2? maybe its something i could notice, the guy had these on for a month b4 he sold his car. it isnt very old either.

That's a good deal! If it's pretty new, it's almost certainly a Gen 2.

Main difference will be the Gen 2 is supposedly a bit 'quieter'. I put that in quotes because the Gen 2 I had was still pretty loud. Droned a fair bit in my AT car, eventually I had to take it off and go a different way (see sig), but I did love the look and sound from that outside.

the hwy drone is pretty much gone w/3.7FD gears, and that's even w/my HFC's & headers.

^^ Yeah, that would get you up into the RPM sweet spot.

You could probably have someone build you one custom for about $500 or so. Looking back on my Borla exhaust history and modifications to that system, I probably should have done just that.

^I should look into it.

What muffler you think? I had great success with single-in/dual-out on both my Trans-Ams, and a friend of mine did dual single-in/single-out on his Murano and that sounded good too.
IDK

If I ever decide to try to tackle the last part of the drone (it really only bugs me going up hills in xxxx rpm), I would just put another magnaflow resonated X piped muffler. (Just like the one I have up front). But whether or not it would do it is just a guess. This unit reduced the drone quite a bit when I had it installed just off the cats. So I guess it would reduce it again.

I have a gen 2 installed. Originally with a ztube and 1/2 inch plenum spacer. Went back to the gtube keeping the spacer and the drone is significantly less. Add in manumatic to hold higher RPM's and it's awesome! 2004 G35X.
