hahaha this is an old trick w heavy consequences. i used it about 2yrs ago and the atf fluid wotks great at first, but slowly the headlights became cloudy from the inner part of the plastic. not the inside of the lense but the middle of the inside and outside of the lense which cant be repaired. i just want to let you guys know what happened to me using the atf fluid on our headlamps. today, mine are terrible. i buffed (w 3m kit) the inside and out but nothing. its terrible. anyone whos seen my headlights knows what im talking about. mextep, speeddream, and i believe g sedan have seen how ugly they tuened. they started deteriorating after about 4mnths on mine even though i kept them clean and waxed the consistently. anyways good luck

yea ^ mine for some reason ended up saturating into the plastic which with the aid of natural sunlight began to cloud the inner of the plastic and now its beginning to look like its cracking. its funny bc the guy that did that to mine actually said "hey this will clean your headlights and leave em looking great" it did but after 5 months it was terrible. dont get me wrong i hope yours dont end up the same but i just wanted to let you guys know what happ to mine.

Said the same thing I did.
I was just cruising through here and spotted this post. I used to ride bikes and it wasn't until my BMW touring bike that I discovered a really good product for taking scratches and such out of the wind screen and it should work for the headlight casings as well. It was 'semi-chrome'. It's for cleaning and polishing the chrome on the exhaust pipes. The BMW bike dealer back then turned me on to it. So if anyone has some and wants to give it a try, you just put the paste on, rub it good and wipe it off. It's probably just a fine compound. It left the wind screen looking new though with out any lasting film or residue.
