$280 vs $450 (if you can install your self)

How would you compare the Magnaflow to the HKS sound wise?

PS: you should make a driving away video

Also, The Universal Mufflers seem to have a core size of 2.5 and do not mention if they are dual. The Street Series list Dual 2.0 core sizes. Also you can only get 2.25in/2.25out for the universals, while on the Street Series the outlet is 3.0 or what ever tip you buy it premade with.

What is core size though?

Not really sold on the HP claim but should be a good weight savior and deep sound

I've been toying with the idea of a magnaflow.

Jeff is also running a custom exhaust with a magnaflow. He sent me a link which I fav'd, but on another computer :/

Muffler shop called my back the Magnaflow 14815 they can do insatlled for 240/250

Thats a very good price, some other shops I called wanted 200 bucks for the muffler and then 100+ to install. Just waiting on the comments about how it sounds compared to HKS, I believe its deeper sounding. Mainly wondering about how loud it is when driving in the city and highway speeds, Drone..ect

I had this on before the magnaflow and it was a POS. Tips were crooked, the tips stuck wayyyy out the back and it droned like nobody's business. After driving around for an hour you felt like your ears were plugged up. I do not recommend. Plus, it does not fit the 05/06 without some mods. I had to cut off a hanger and fab something up with a coat hanger. Not exactly a tasteful mod on a g35.

I'm running a magnaflow resonated X with my borla true dual. But it's essentially a muffler with a X pipe inside. I'll thought about putting another one at the end as a muffler.

Go here for the best prices http://performancepeddler.com/

Punch in 14815 and either submit a price or call. They will beat their listed price. And that ebay unit doesn't look like a Magnaflow

Of course it looks like the unit you want is a single in/dual out unit. I'd be looking at a dual in/dual out.

Can you comment on the Drone and the loudness of the Magnaflow?

How does it sound when compared to the HKS?

The magnaflow drones but not as bad as that cheap ebay thing. It actually got less and less over time I think due to burn in. If you keep your stock 05/06 middy it won't drone as bad, it's when I put on the z/coupe middy that it did create some. Not unbearable, but noticeable. Maybe Swivel can chime in and give his opinion of his HKS, but to me it was less deep and more "note". Its too bad as we had a meet on the weekend in which we could've done some comparisons.

Wow those videos sound great! Im in when I get some extra money this is my next mod. Quick question The Z or coupe midpipe does it replace where our mid resonator is which is why it increases noise a little bit?

^^ Yup, the resonator on these is MUCH smaller than the stock ones. The z middy needs a little extension welded in to fit though while the coupe middy bolts right up. Same resonator though.

Well I had my mid resonator cut off and welded straight pipe in place.. I take it getting a mid pipe for me would be pointless now
