well, i sent the dealer an offer of 12,000 on the 06 sedan.

don't know if they will take it, but we will see. they wanted $13,900 for it.

I like the blue color a lot, tan interior is what I wanted, has HID and all the features I want. Also figure w low miles it will have a better resale value down the road.

I may also see more about this 04, and what price he is willing to go to just as a backup plan.

If you get an 06 for 12k and there's nothing wrong with it, I will hate you

You guys would crap if you saw how much '06's were still for sale for on dealership lots

http://www.kellyinfiniti.com/used/In...seHistory=true

I paid $23K for my '06 loaded 2 years ago certified from this same dealer...they wanted $25K

Kinda sad to see prices drop so low. Resale is crap, don't let miles or features kid you. When i'm ready to sell my '06...i'll prob be lucky to get 10-12K, and that's only because it's a loaded model.

The blue '06 sounds like a steal if there's nothing wrong with it. Definitely find out the in service date so you can see if there is any factory warranty left.

If you pull up a carfax it tells you when it was purchased. The VIN plate under the hood has the manufacture date and plant info in Japan. My previous 2004 sedan was purchased 06/30/2004 with 10 miles on the clock. Forgot when it was made.

Somehow, Infiniti cars resale values are not up to par with Lexus or even Acura.

I just found mine today while moving all my stuff. Been looking for it since I got the car. It's a good feature even today vs. push button.

the 335i is faster then the g35, they are underated. 335s put down 270-275rwhp and 300ft lbs of torque, rev up G's put down mid 240whp, and 230 something ftlbs of torque. Also the 335i makes peak torque at 1400 rpms...people have run low 13s with them, a stock g35 would be very lucky to hit high 13s. also the 335i sedan is 3593lbs, the 05 g35 sedan is 3512lbs, so thats only 81lbs...the 03-04 sedan is 3398lbs but makes less power then the 05-06

as for the topic of the thread, i sort of regret not getting an 05 instead of my 04. There was a white 05 6mt sedan on the lot with 35k on it and my 04 had 67k so it was cheaper(I don't really remember how much). Also my car had a black interior with premium package and the 05 was tan w/o premium so I didn't really look into they 05, but I probably should have since my car ended up having an oil consumption problem anyway..I did end up with a new engine but I probably should have at least test driven the 05...I think the price difference may have been like 13900 vs 20000 can't remember though

I agree with all of that and IT IS faster stock vs. stock but it costs A LOT. The curb weight you posted on the G sedan, I have conflicting spec sheets from Nissan and I have no idea how an automatic weighs less than a manual OR why 2005 and 2006 MT differs in curb weight, 05 at 3512 and 06 at 3472 which sounds right but 05 doesn't. And the 335i also has the advantage of wider tires in the back 255s compared to the mediocre 235s the G sedan comes with stock. I've raced 2 335i's, 1 E46 M3 and 1 535i. Walked the 335i's, M3 and blasted the 535i. Not to mention my car is not even tuned for the mods. I'm seeing this on BMW website for curb weight. 3593 (3605) lbs and 3605 here http://www.insideline.com/audi/s4/20...-bmw-335i.html. I'm betting the MT 05-06 G sedan is 3472 which is what it feels like driving it.

To get more power above 500whp on the 335i they have to ditch the bi-turbo which they have and go to a single turbo which they did and cost a **** load. It WILL lose the torque they make at 1500rpms. Also another problem is adding fuel above 500whp with direct injection.

Another thing is that a converted single turbo 335i will have to make OVER 1300whp+ to run the 1/4 in 9sec which will cost more than what it would take for a VQ. Not to mention that it's been out since 2007 and already turbo which is suppose to make it easier and get to 9 seconds faster and less costly, direct injection is in the way again. FORGETTING the fact that fitting a 1000whp capable turbo is problematic. Forget 1300whp. Boost wont come on until at least 6000 RPM with a turbo that size. They are also going to need 35-40++ PSI which is too much.

Ever wonder why SP, FP, GTM, and IP only work with Supras, GTRs, 350z, 370z, Gs, and Evos? Now you know. Even AMS stays away.

you think you can feel the difference between 3512 and 3472 lbs when driving

alos you may have walked all those cars, but they either weren't racing or really bad at it

the only reason to pick a G over the 335 is the price
