Talking Will 05 sedan midpipe fit an 04 sedan, will it be better

Hi..

I have a 2004 g35 sedan and I just today installed the ztube and k&n filter. I like the sound when im in the high rpm's.

My next mod will be plenum spacer than exhaust.

Question i have is if the 2005 Sedan Mid Pipe will fit my 2004 Sedan.
I have read on the forums that the 05 mid pipe is similar to coupe mid pipe.

I am running out of funds at the time being and this is something I can to really cheap.
Is it worth doing?

I plan on getting the HR Y Pipe and HKS muffler in the future.

Thanks

Thanks for the quick reply

Is it a bolt on job or is there welding required?

Thanks again

Just take off your suitcase size resonator on your midpipe and weld a straightpipe in its place. It will sould nice and deep with an aftermarket muffler

I have the 05 sedan middy paired with my HKS exhaust on my 03.5 sedan. Did the 1/2 hour install myself with a floor jack and a jack stand in my condo parking lot. It helps to spray PBC blaster on the mounting bolts prior to removal of your stock middy to break them loose.

I love it
I'm thinkin bout just leaving my muffler on it as well.
Now I'm on the lookout for hr y pipe and plenum spacer
Ill wait until a good deal comes along. Will look for used parts.
I'm also getting that ft spec rear lateral arm, I hope it helps w the creaking noise in the back.

Wayne do you get any drone with your setup? I ended up getting rid of my HKS because even with my stock 05 mid the drone was a little too much. Much less noticeable than with the CM but still there. Now I'm running HR Y, CM, and stock muffler and I really like the way it sounds.

There's still a bit of drone, yes. Surprisingly little change from the coupe MP in that regard, but I think the sound from outside is a little more mellow. I actually pulled off the HKS this week, shined it up, and put it on the shelf til spring. No sense running it through the sand and salt that goes on our roads in winter. Got the stock 03 can on now and with the HR Y and 05 mid it sounds interesting...pretty quiet, but there's that slight VQ howl to it. I've yet to find the ideal sedan exhaust, I think.
