Because you're implying any welded exhaust is crappy, which is FAR from the truth.

Sure there are plenty of "bolt on" exhaust components both nice and crap (ebay test pipes anyone? )
Just because something bolts in or welds in doesn't make it good or crap.

Perhaps you need examples?

right, did i say ebay?

shops that actually know how to weld properly are not that easy to find and I would imagine probably more money then a good bolt on system

Maybe in your area

I've had a couple of Magnaflow mufflers welded in by some "rednecks" that did an excellent job, and didn't charge much at all.
0 leaks, durable (I scrubbed the tips plenty of times without incident) fantastic sound (both cars gathered quite a number of complements on exhaust note) and <$100 install......

How many hits does it take to sink a battleship again?

^You're asking for pics of welds on two cars I don't own anymore? Nicely done.

Also, really, a pic of a weld won't tell you all that much unless there are obvious imperfections. I've seen plenty of "ugly" welds that did their job very well along with "pretty" welds that didn't hold for jack.

^Why? If they don't leak and don't break I don't care what they look like. (unlike girls )

ok...lol

this isnt really going anywhere

on the other hand i would like to go back to blacked out lights for a second...there is a big difference between blacking out 2 little lights and both of your taillights. one is a subtle little thing, the other changes the look of the whole car
