His only complaint, and ultimately his reason for wanting to trade, was that the Lexus was perfect and well behaved in every way, but it was a bore to drive. Lexus' makes a plush car, and a pretty car, but they've got no soul. And you can kiss that pretty exhaust tone goodbye if you go Lexus.
what soul u talking about? i don't see any soul in a g37. they should have badged the g with nissan not infiniti. I don't find the g luxurious at all. air and wind noise all over, random rattles. Very sucky audio. but no complains in the smile it puts on my face when i step on the gas, this alone made me choose my g35 over an is250 awd. The is was fun as hell to drive and confortable while being luxurious, it just lacked the power.

There is no way to compare a GS350 vs G37. It's up to what you are looking for. Power? Comfort? Appearance? you gotta choose. GS350 is good for those who have family, children... But IMO, Lexus would last longer than Infiniti. I am driving a G but hey, that is the truth. A G with 100k+ mile, many things need to be replaced. But a Lexus, 100k+ mile, still doing fine.

^actually a G with 100k plus.. wont need much. maybe after 200k... though i have heard of people and seen lexus for sale that have 200k + and some even are at 400k... but then again. a lot matters on how the car was treated and maintained.

Right, it depends on how the car is treated and maintained. But the main problem that I see the most on G/Z 100k+ mile is the door locks and door actuators (not sure if I spell it right). And some other electrical problems. No matter what, Electrical problem is very common on our car.

i woudnt mind if my electrical broke every 100k miles or so i think the main concern is the engine along with its components. if those are still cherry, then there is nothing else

I work in sales at a Lexus dealer. Even though I've owned the G for 4 years, I can safely say that the GS350 beats the G37 as far as comfort, space and convenience.

Lexus advantages

* Better Smart key feature than the Infiniti
* Ventilated front seats
* Memory seats
* LED interior lights
* If you get navigation system, it comes with back-up camera and (if applicable) intuitive parking assist
* More potential for VIP mods

In actuality, the GS350 shold be compare to the M35 or M37. Those are in the same price segment. The GS350 cost about $10K more than a G37, so of course it's has more nice features.
