Coils, sways and summer performance tires. As an intermediate, less expensive step you could go to model year 04.5 and later 350Z springs and shocks/struts instead of coils, but if you have the budget, go straight to coils.

6MT only, pretty sure the autos don't have quite the same intake.

Will not fit, wrong bolt pattern. Look for OEM Rays 'track' 18s from a 350Z (see pic below) or OEM Rays 19s from an 05-up sport coupe (see my avatar)

OP i think youre on the right track. check my/others car info to see what stuffs we have done. Definately drop+wheels right off the bat. HKS+midpipe+spacer wont set you back much either. Then drop a few bucks on some aesthetic/DIY mods. I would re-think on the halos....

I really want to make the handling better..a lot more snappy. My friend has a BMW Z3 and i get pretty jealous sometimes when he zips in and out of lanes with no hesitation.

i picked coilovers because i had the impression it was like everything in one, and because you can adjust the ride height to where you want. if i got just springs, i would have to replace the shocks and struts cus theyre stock right now. But yeah, you're right about the coilovers eating half my budget..

I just picked the nismo aero kit because thats what i saw most people were tlaking about. any other kit suggestions would be great
If your main priority right off the bat is handling I'd upgrade the sways and suspension. You'll never corner like a Z3 but can definitely improve the stock setup.

Those with coils will often tell you to just get coils to start since you'll end up wanting them eventually. The adjustable ride height and dampening are the big advantage. There are those who are happy with springs/shocks though, and a revised Z suspension can be found in the marketplace here or on my350z.com for a couple hundred bucks. That plus sways will firm up the handling significantly.

As for aero these threads will get you started:

https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...s-my-03-a.html

https://g35driver.com/forums/media-s...llen-rear.html

New nismo sides are readily available at the moment (pm 19kdrill), used nismo fronts can be found occasionally on ebay or in the marketplace, and good luck finding any kind of nismo rear, although Ionic is working on a rear replica. Info on aftermarket fronts is in the second thread, and pics of the Stillen rear, which is a decent alternative, are in the third.

sounds like a good plan..get all the expensive stuff out of the way stuff so its easier to get more done later. About the halos, i think they can (emphasize can) look pretty good and classy, as long as theyre not overdone. imo..

a lot of great info in here, thanks a lot heph. I'll definitely check out the revised Z suspension. A far as coilovers go, would H&R's street performance get the job done and well? thanks for the links
