G35 Sedan
'03 Sedan Mod List

Hey guys so I just got a completely stock IP '03 sedan and have $2k to spend on it right away. I've read through the forums and come up with a list of mods I want to purchase and install.

H&R street performance Coilovers

MD 5/16 plenum spacer
Z-tube/JWT pop charger

HFCs (not sure which brand)
350z y-pipe
coupe midpipe
magnaflow resonators
HKS muffler

nismo aero kit
clear corners
CCFL halos
debadge
black the headlights.

Just tell me what you guys think about all of this. Any info you can offer is greatly appreciated, as well as any suggestions for a part instead of one listed above. I know I wont be able to get all of this for $2k, so tell me what you think is the most important to get first. Thanks!

Depends what you're looking for -- stance, handling, looks, sound? A little of each? Have a look through the G35 Sedan What Mods Should I Buy sticky thread.

BTW you'll need front & rear camber kits to go with your coils, and I would add sway bars to the list (Stillen/Hotchkis/Motordyne)

I thought I read that over the years people starting moving away from the JWT Pop Charger? And you might as well just run the coupe mid-pipe since its a direct bolt-on and the 350Z requires an extension. But I think you should be able to accomplish your list with $2k. Unless your'e looking at wheels & tires too.

He actually referred to the 350Z Y-pipe, not the middy.

If you just got it personally I would get it up to par. I image like all our cars you prob have some oil in the RR spark plug tube and could use new fluids all around.

Body related stuff will be expensive cause of paint.

So...

Debadge and paint headlights and grill is about 20 bucks.
Sways are best first mod imo.
Motordyne spacer
Clear corners with bump
MidPipe and HKS muffler
Some kind of drop

Thats around 2k

What wheels are you running? I agree with snoop, if you've got stock wheels replacing those and dropping it come first. There is no way you'll get everything on your list plus wheels, tires, and paint for $5000 let alone $2000.

If you don't want to spend your 2 grand all on wheels a good option would be to look for coupe 19s in the marketplace or craigslist.

Coils will eat up half your budget or more as well. If you just have to get them then do, otherwise pick a revised Z suspension for a fraction of the cost.

After that I'd do sways, 5/16" spacer, z-tube, HKS, coupe mid-pipe.

Aero plus paint will eat up most of your budget, and new Nismo doesn't exist anymore. There are aftermarket options though and 19kdrill, the finder of lost nismo, might hook you up with sides or find you a used front.

this car is already quick stock, but the 03 sedan ain't so pretty stock. Do looks first, drop, clear corners with leds, front lip, paint headlights, grille, mirror bases and oem sides and rear sills, tint the windows, m3 trunk lip and Hids

First off, just wanna say thanks for all the replies guys

At first I was gonna blow half of it on interior sound, and the other half on performance, but then i figured that with the whole Bose system being a PAIN..it would eat up too much budget soo im putting it all into performance mods

I really want to make the handling better..a lot more snappy. My friend has a BMW Z3 and i get pretty jealous sometimes when he zips in and out of lanes with no hesitation.

what exactly is a osiris uprev tune? just visited there website and it looks pretty legit but can you explain to me what exactly it is? and the rev up airbox is the oem airbox from the 05/06s right?

right now i just have the stock 17" rims on there. I found some 19" M3 rims on craigslist with tires for like $650.

i picked coilovers because i had the impression it was like everything in one, and because you can adjust the ride height to where you want. if i got just springs, i would have to replace the shocks and struts cus theyre stock right now. But yeah, you're right about the coilovers eating half my budget..

I just picked the nismo aero kit because thats what i saw most people were tlaking about. any other kit suggestions would be great
