Willow leather
Re: Willow leather
I heartily agree - the car is no place for food. As far as the mats go, I wash them often in the front loading washing machine after spot cleaning. After 10K miles, they still look great.
Also, keeping the car garaged helps.

Re: Willow leather
I do the exact same thing with our 3 cars.
Just wash them in the washing machine twice a year and they will come out practically brand new. I have a set of Weather Guard mats for the winter though.

Re: Willow leather
To protect your willow et al floormats, I agree with ABQ on previous page ... get the "ExactMats" (clear mats with clear prongs to seat into rug mat). They protect and look great (unlike the winter mats imo). Got mine from dealer parts dept.
Re: Willow leather
This leather isn't wearing as well as a 96 Maxima I had. That car had "gathers" in the material (which G35s don't have) which I think helps wear. After 60,000 miles, it still looked new. Willow or Graphite should wear the same. The loaners are abused, so if you take care of your car, it will help tremendously. I'm a little worried about long term though.
If you're planning on keeping the vehicle for a long time I wouldn't get the Willow interior. Over time it will start to show age I believe more so than the graphite. But I think the lighter color leaters will need more care.
yeah I have a willow and with the exception of a couple of creases it still looks great. I lexol it with every wash and put leather condition everytime i change the oil and that it. The floor mats I use resolve carpet foam (yeah u gotta use the foam) and scotchguard it.
