High Mileage G35+SC?
High Mileage G35+SC?
A year ago I was toying around about getting a G35 as a DD but opted out. I started looking around again and very interested in building a G35 with a SC or a TT as a DD fun car.
I come from a world of BMW's and Lexus. Maybe Infinity is also going to be added to the list?
My question is getting a high mileage G35 sedan 03-04-05 with 100k+ miles...would it be foolish to install a SC or a TT in such a high mileage car or no? I have heard great things about the reliability of the G35 . So yes please fill me in on that.
I look forward to staying on here and it looks a very nice community similar to the BMW forums.

I honestly wouldint think its the best idea G35's are great / realible but i just dont think its practical to do a TT or SC if you have over 100 K + miles...
That's just my opinion but i'm curious to see what other people have to say.

I always thought Infiniti was in the list of BMWs and Mercedes.
Jk
On a serious note, yes, these cars are reliable. My 03 black sedan currently has 129,000 miles on it and I haven't had a single problem with it.

If you rebuild the engine, it's not a problem. But you should probably at least keep funds available for a rebuild, and have a 2nd vehicle if needed.

If you do a compression test and you are within a normal range there shouldn't be a problem. Keep in mind the sc will shorten the life of the motor and trans so, as was stated above, have the funds for a rebuild ready just in case.
