I am embarressed to say. I returned from the desert and bought the 04 G35X within 24 hours of returning. After settling on the financing and pricing with options the finance guy hits me up on the paint protecter and chip gaurd packages. I went with the chip gaurd and not the paint protection plan. I paid around $1,000.00 I have a good clear bra( I like the lines) and my headlights have a plastic protective lens cover. I am happy to have it. I know I paid more than necessary but I am still pleased with the results.
I highly recommend you do something even if you don't want to spend too much. If I had gone straight to the installer I could have bypassed the middle man(Infiniti). This would haved saved me a lot. I THOUGHT THAT MEANT SOMETHING TO YOU (GEICO commercial)haha

That is an excellent question - I should have been more clear. My clear bra was for 18" on the hood and fenders only. No mirrors, no front bumper, and no side skirts. The mirrors I should probably have done, but the front bumper is plastic - I have never had a problem with the bumpers chipping (pitting yes, but a clear bra isn't going to help with that). I also didn't have the sideskirts done because mine (and I think every other non aero equipped sedan) are plastic as well.

I got mine from http://stores.ebay.com/Discount-Clear-Bras for about 200 (hood/fenders/mirrors/bumper) for the wifes sedan. I put it on myself, but it was a bit tedious, probably want to find somebody to put it on for you...

As the car we traded has been sand blasted to bits doing the whole thing was a good idea in my mind.

Good luck! I have it on both cars and can't see myself driving another car with out it! The stuff rocks - so to speak.

I had my tint and my clear bra done at the same time - I paid ~$180 for an 18" clear bra, and approximately $190 for my tint, all installed. The clear bra was the best money I've spent on my car yet.

There really aren't any "parts" per se. The 3M clear bra itself is actually very cheap - most of the money is the install. $180 is fairly normal for Colorado - most of the people I work with actually got theirs installed for ~$160, however I was already getting my tint done at this shop, and for the entire job (bra and tint), they were cheaper overall.

i'd be interested to know what parts people are having the clearbra installed on for the prices they are quoting. for instance that $180, was that just for the front bumper or did you do part of the hood as well? any skirting? etc

I paid 260 installed for clearshield deluxe kit. It included the mirrors, full front bumper, hood (a little beyond the end of the headlight housing) and the corners of the front fenders.
