I know that everyone says that Gordgee's kit is the best and he definetly seems helpful, but his kit really worth the price difference. I can pick up the Nismo kit on ebay for 37.00 shipped and the Groundgear kit is 3 times that much.

I don't have a 6MT, so I don't have any personal experience. The 350Z drivers seem to really like their kits however, and most of the 350Zs are 6MTs.
A friend is now waiting for his 8-wire GroundingGear from Gord for his Z. I'm helping do the installation, and I'll try to do the same test drive with and without that I did with my G35, and if I get the chance, I'll post my impressions later.
It seems however that the 6MT would feel the same smoothness and throttle response as those with the auto tranny. I know many with the Zs say it also smooths out the coarseness of the engine at high rpm.
I read near the bottom of the feedback comments on https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...sed&sb=5&part= that a Manager of a Nissan Dealer noticed with a 6MT 350Z who added the extra 2 wires to his basic set-up noticed it pulled harder and was more responsive, which is consistent with what I noticed with my own experiences: https://g35driver.com/forums/showfla...&sb=5&part=all
I would also think that there are several of Gord's clients here that have 6MTs that could comment if they already haven't.
If it seems that I support Gord and his efforts, you're right. I know the other major manufactures have these things made off-shore because it's cheaper (bigger profits for them), so sometimes the quality can be variable. I remember reading on the coupe forum way back that some guy had the lug fall off his Stillen kit! At least I know Grounding Gear is made here in North America by someone that seems to actually be working at improving a product, rather than just copying, and jumping on the bandwagon to make a quick buck. I support quality, not quantity. And seriously, for me, outside of better tires, this is the best bang-for-your-buck thing going. Unlike some of the other things I do to the car, my wife likes it too, and she isn't even a "car person"!

Double Amen there!
It's nice to know that SOMEONE in America still strives to perfect what they invent, instead of the typical situation where an American thinks up a new product or idea, produces a rudimentary version, and then the Japanese (or sometimes Europeans) take the product and run with it, perfecting it and making all the $$$ !!
Thanks for the replies, guys!

Do Canadians refer to thier origins as American? Just wondering. I know it's North America up there but American has it's own connotation about the US I believe. I could be wrong but I've never heard a canadian refer to themselves as american. I guess they would if we invaded!

We refer to ourselves as North Americans, sharing the largest 'friendly' border in the world.
If you visit Toronto or Vancouver, or even Calgary, the is a very American feel to them.
Every once in a while we Westerners (BC, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, and especially Alberta) talk about separation and joining the US (seriously!). Mainly because of Eastern provinces alienating parts of the west (perceived). Our Premier is still trying to adopt more American ways (and your style of health care). We also watch TV, mostly US programs, and many American TV shows (X-Files, Smallville, etc.) are produced here. So, we're about as close to being Americans (closer than Alaskans) as anyone. Now if only you Yanks would buy our Canadian (Alberta-Grown) beef! One of the best tasting beef sources in the world, and fed less hormones than virtually anywhere else!

Hey Gord: I agree that the feel of the canadian cities is very american - Montreal notwithstanding. I find Vanvouver to be way cooler than many or even most american cities, however, and a tad bit euro..in a good way. Of course you guys are quite similar in culture and tastes but I always sensed a sense of individual-ness and uniqueness that is distinctly canadian. You guys should join us and get the french canadians off on thier own if that's what they want. I love canada - people and skiing and the landscape all make for a great retirement dream and the fact that it IS so american and familiar makes is that much greater. Ever take the Polar Bear express to James Bay? Canadaian Bacon was one funny concept with one of my faves - Jon Candy. I think we should invade you for your beef...and your BC oysters. No need for horseradish or tabasco on those babys!

Never been to James Bay, nor Montreal. I've heard some interesting things about Montreal though. The French signage laws are ludicrous in Quebec, since apparently posting English words even along with the French is illegal and will result in a fine or worse.
I took many years of French in school, and I can't understand French-Canadian! I can understand a fair amount of French as spoken in European movies however. So they seem to be a culture and language onto themselves. Even Quebec laws are different than in the rest of Canada. Makes us stronger and unique I guess. Yes, they frequently speak of separation, but we'd be a much poorer country as a result.

Well The US loves debt so we'd help out with $ like we do the other states. All the Provinces and the Territories can become the State of Canada and right up the middle is another country they'll call France Jr. Great to visit and great to leave is my take on France and Quebec. Paris and Montreal are great but the whole "we are the epicenter of culture and language for the entire world" attitude gets a bit old.

You realize of course that the Stillen, Sun Automotive, HKS, and other major kits on the market all sell for about $130 to $150. And the kits are all 5 or 6 wires, and the list prices are a lot higher. I have kits from 2 of these manufacturers as well as from Grounding Gear.
I have a friend that ordered the NISMO kit out of Japan. For the 5 wire set, it cost him $200 plus shipping, and unless they've changed their kits, the "NISMO" kits on E-Bay don't look anything like the real NISMO kit from Japan. The real NISMO kit doesn't (didn't) use a "star ground" or what ever that thing is called. It looks like someone is having these things made and putting a NISMO label on them, which is why they only sell for less than $50 or so. One of the "NISMO" kits that a vendor sells is the same one he sells for the WRX. Why would NISMO make grounding kits for Subaru? Think about it.
In my opinion, buy the fake "NISMO" kit if money is a factor or you want a cool NISMO sticker on something under the hood. And by the way, Gord's 5 or 6 wire kits that he quoted me were the same price as Z-Xtreme's kits that I looked into last year. So I don't think his are 3 times the E-bay kits when you compare apples to apples. It's not until you get the additional wires (10 for me) that it approaches the sale prices of the 5 wire Stillen, Sun, etc. But based on my findings with the Grounding Gear, it's well worth it to pay a little more for a product that is actually researched and developed, and isn't just a copy of what everyone else has. Even with his HEPA filter, you can see that some time and money went into developing it, rather than just as a direct replacement for the OEM filter.
Personally, I'm always a bit leary of buying off E-Bay, because you never know what you're getting until you get it. There is positive feedback of the sellers, but enough really negative comments that make me want to buy from an authorized source. I was a bit cautious about buying Gord's kit as well, since I thought he only sells here, but after reading the information package that he e-mailed me that he supplies to his dealers (not his brief description of offerings to us), and speaking with his distributor, GroundingGear seems right up there with Stillen and the other big boys, but just isn't as well known (yet). And it's the big boys that seem to be offering additional wires as a result of his work here! Something to think about, and makes his kits a bargain in my eyes! I'm now recommending his kits to my friends, and they're paying more than we are.

Not to hijack the post, but I've read many posts regarding the effectiveness/non-effectiveness of grounding kits (all makes) for our "G"'s.
You seem very knowledgeable and well read on the matter - other than your hearty (and shared by many) recommendation of Grounding Gear per se, what is your opinion ($0.02) as to the effects I might expect to feel in my '04 6MT Sedan (stone stock - no mods) after installing a quality grounding system ??
