Doh! Thanks for setting me straight, Marcus. I mistook the Dlxe for the V2.

 

Both trunks look nice, but after seeing both in person, I will have to say that Stafe's FG version of their trunk is better quality then Hikkata Dori's. I own a Hikkata Dori hood and the FG is wafer thin.. it flexes in the middle when I place my hand on it. It is the same with the trunks as well.

It still didn't prevent me from getting the hood tho, but some people should be made aware of the quality of the product.

 

^I can also attest to the FG quality of the HD trunk. I did a photoshoot of Vivek's (4drmadness) car this past weekend. He is running the HD trunk. When we were doing rig shots we had to push the car from the back. I freaked out when the middle of the trunk depressed in when you pushed it; it really shocked me. I'm no expert on FG but I would not expect a FG trunk to do this when you pushed on it, I would hope it would be a bit stronger to with stand a little pressure. I am in no way bashing HD, I am a fan of their line of exterior Sedan parts. Just adding my "real life" experience. Would this stop me from buying their trunk if I was in the market for one, no it wouldn't; its just nice to have this type of info up front.

 

Strafe FTW, the lines of the lip flow A LOT better w/the lines of the rear. oh, and it's carbon fiber too...

HD and Fresh Ta def are close look at bodykits pics and stuff offered. I heard Vivek handles sending out stuff for chrome and polish. That would be a good question to ask them..

Ok guys. Like everyone said the strafe v1 and v2 are the same minus the doggy door. the Hd trunk looks nothing like the strafe lid imo. The strafe product is much thicker in material and seems to fit really close. I own a hd lid and the glass is supper thin. Mayb 2 layers throughout. Most kits ive seen and i deal with alot as i do paint and body are made up of atleast 3-6 layers. the back part of the hd lid isnt that bad but the top is thin and wavy. To get it completely straight it probly would need to have atleast 2 more layers to the inside then bodyworked on the outside to get straight. On the other hand ive installed atleast 6 strafe coupe decklids and the glass is significantly thicker and straighter. The cf versions are hawt and fit great. Thats just my 2 cents since i deal with alot of parts
