Tuning Chip or any type of Tuner

Can any of you suggest a good tuner for a 2004 sedan? I want something that increases the power, but more importantly, increases my fuel economy. My mpg is cr*p and I want it to be better. $60 every other week on a tank isn't helping me at all. So any suggestions on tuners would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

These cars are known for being hogs. Theres nothing you can do except drive like a grandma or sell it for another car.

$60 every other week? I do $60 every week, getting right under 400 miles before my light comes on. I just buy a can of BG Power Enhance every 4 months, with the BG Supercharge once a month. I fill up with Shell V-Power (91 octane) to keep it clean, synthetic oil, K&N drop in filter, and feather the accelerator, tires at 35 psi. No need to jackrabbit out of stop lights, intersections, etc.

why are people not searching? This car is not going to produce great gasmilage. You have some options for tunes ( technosquare and osiris ) have flashes for your ECU, but your not going to get significant mpg gains. Will allow for higher rpms, full open throttle, and help with bolt ons ( if you have any ).... and maybe fix the curve allowing for 1-2mpg gain.

spend some time here: https://g35driver.com/forums/search....rchid=10547514

and here: https://g35driver.com/forums/search....rchid=10547520

both of those links are in the "tuner/dyno" section under search for "osiris" and "technosquare"

here are the websites to each:

http://uprev.com/products.php

http://www.technosquareinc.com/nissanflash.htm

BTW, with Osiris (from UpRev) you have the option of up to five different maps... most of us have one tuned for economy... initially the term was simply a very conservative tune that allowed for 87 octane fuel (cheaper, thus "econo") - but I realized I was actually getting slightly better mpg in that map (on 91 octane) so Shawn Church (tuner) did his own series of tune/mpg testing and he determined in fact you can get slightly better mpg (thus the common map these days for most ppl = econo)... * yes, this really is how it started (for anyone wondering).

Typically the ECU flash is for performance gains, which can be accomplished with reasonable mpg, but if you're like me your right foot gets real heavy in the performance maps, so mpg is poop anyway

I spend $20 a day on gas....$140 a week. More if I take the car to visit local vendors and customers.

The car is a gas hog but I knew it when I bought it.

I am located in Santa Rosa Ca.

I would be spending $60 a week if I drove a lot in a day but I mostly drive to school and back which is about 10 miles a day. And the light turns on at 280 miles. Idk how some people get 350+ a tank. Ive babied the hell out of my car for a whole tank and the best i got was 315. I dont wanna sell this car cuz it is awesome but I am going to school and cant work so the money is comin out of my savings.

You might as well sell it. The numbers in town usually dont breach 20 mpg. On the highway maybe 26. Then again this car probably pulls alot of azz out in college. If your broke though you really cant roll out. What a dilema.

Probably have the wrong car if you're worried about the cost of gas.

Gas is such a small expenditure 20k miles/year getting 15mpg @ $2.70/gallon = $3600... w/ 20mpg you're looking at $2670. That's only a difference of about $1000 for a year... $20/week. I don't really don't understand why people worry so much about mpg. Gas is very little in the whole scheme of annual expenses.

I'm 15 city and 18 hwy (about 18 combined)... when it was closer to stock it still never got better than 20 or so (city/hwy combined)... best mpg I see these days is just under 22 and that's long trip 90% cruise control at 70mph (in econo map with Osiris)...
