03 sedan v35
03 sedan v35
looking to do a front end swap of a later 05 or 06 or possibly a v36 front end sedan for my car since the 03s are notorious for having there lights fogged up on the inside which my car has got all the time even with new headlanmps replaced so would this process be a direct bolt up for another v35 and could it be done witha v36 front end
A 05/06 will bolt up, provided you do the entire front (hood, grill, fenders, bumper and headlights)
You could convert to the coupe front, but that will require custom made fenders.
Real question though, is WHY? 05/06s aren't immune to the problem either you know, and that's a TON of work just for headlights.
Why don't you just try having a shop professionally refinish your headights? And if they are damaged is on the inside, just pick up some ebay headlights for $200... if they finish goes in 2 years, so what? Ditch them for another set... at $100/year, you'll be at LEAST 10 more years before you've spent as much as a front end swap would cost.
If you're talking about condensation, there are some much simpler ways of fixing that too.

The irony, I was just thinking about doing this lol then I realized the 05/06 doesn't have the K2 front end developed just yet. I haven't had any headlight oxidation issues from the inside? It's only a few bucks to repair it, personally myself I only charge 40 bucks to fix the lights.
I just picked up a pair of subie lights that had this issue though, bought it for 20 dollars, repaired it right up and now it's for sale haha.

This is good food for thought, I always wanted the 05 look.. I'm willing to pay for 05 lights lol. I just bought these blackhousing lights too, they work wonders no condensation issues here!
too many horror stories though.
