Smile Unusual Car Lock after Initial Locking/Beep - 2006

My 2006 sedan has been acting funny. I lock my car with my remote and it does the normal beep, parking light flash, and locks the doors. However, after a while I'm sitting in the house and hear/notice the car locking itself as If i'm pressing the button on my remote.

Has this happened to anyone else? Or is my car possessed? Please help me, I'm worried about electrical issues with the car.

Thanks guys!

I believe if you unlock your car, and didnt enter (you didnt opened any doors) in about a minute, the doors are automatically locked.

Sacch, what you're talking about is definitely normal. However, it sounds like what thebayg35 is describing is a bit different.

Definitely a ghost. There is really no other logical explanation. Are you still under warranty? Go ask for a new ghost-free car.

Lol ... I'm glad my car isn't red :P

No, not under warranty anymore.. 100k. Have you heard of funny electrical issues after the 100k point??

I was also thinking maybe the remote is sending a signal by itself.... Maybe keep the remote far away and see if it does it... Hmmm

Haha, sorry I was just being a smarta**. I haven't read anything about similar issues so I really have no idea what would be causing it. I guess you could try removing the battery from the remotes and see if it continues to do it. I have to get within 10 feet of my car before I can unlock it with my remote though so I don't think the signal is very strong.
