Homelink mirror operation
Homelink mirror operation
Hello all,
My car came equipped with the factory autodim/homelink mirror. These are the GNTX-313 mirrors that are known to rattle. Since it annoyed me and without ever using the homelink function I decided to swap it out with the newer style mirror found in a lot of Nissan/Infiniti models (GNTX-453).
I found a trick mirror with autodim/homelink and compass and installed it without any fuss. Plug and play. The compass lights up in amber to match the interior so it looks sweet!
Anyway, I recently had the need to use the homelink feature and it doesn't seem to work. I tried to program it and no lights flash with the car on or off. There's a button to turn the autodim on/off and a button to turn the compass on/off and they both respond.
I assume the homelink side is dead! Is there a way to wake this bad boy up or am I gonna have to shell out for another mirror?
