Re: molded dash kits

This is the dash kit that I put in my G. Its a factory mash to the existing wood I had on the shifter and door handles.

I got it from www.sherwooddash.com

Re: molded dash kits

Is it really a factory match, is it as hard as the door handles? I had a sample from one place and you could make a dent in it with your fingernail, can't do that with the factory, so if it is actually genuine maple, you can't make a dent in it, that stuff is like a rock!

Re: molded dash kits

Yeah, it REALLY is a factory match. There is no way that I would be able to tell by the looks or the feel. A lot of dash kits are simulated wood, this kit isn't. It was more expensive than most dash kits, but it was worth it.

I have a few pieces left over since my G doesn't have the navi option. I can send you a piece if you want.

Re: molded dash kits

Try Jason Burtman... http://www.burtmanindustries.com/index.php
I had horrible luck getting a dash kit for my old Q45 that fit correctly. I bought one from Sherwood Dash that didn't fit. They were good about refunding my money, but I'd be leary. I also bought one from some crackhead on ebay- didn't fit AND came damaged. I would definitely advise against that. Jason is an Infiniti guy, and while his prices may be a bit higher than Sherwood's, it's definitely worth the extra investment.

Re: molded dash kits

I can only speak from personal experience, but I have purchased two dash kits from sherwooddash (for my G and my old 03 altima), and they both fit perfectly. They are all laser cut so there is no reason why they wouldnt fit.

again, this is just my own personal experience.

Re: molded dash kits

Canuck,
I looked and it appears you have to purchase the entire kit, is that correct?

Dyenboy,
The one that is listed at japanparts.com, doesn't have the openings for the heated seat switches, unless they have updated it recently, plus it says it is for LHD, would that be any different?

Re: molded dash kits

ABQ,

Yeah, I believe that is correct. I haven't seen any individual pieces for sale on their website. If you buy the whole kit, it doesn't mean you have install all pieces though. I can send you a sample if you want.

Re: molded dash kits

There are two places to get a molded (not flat) dash for the G35. One is a full kit that basically "coats" your existing dash pieces. It is outrageous in price as seen here .

The other kit is from Nissan in japan ( part number 083-010-032 ) and includes just the lower shifter console portion. It can be seen here, and ordered here .

I was thinking about the Japanparts kit as it is OEM and should be a perfect match.

That company should named Yo BendOver instead of
Yo Infiniti! That's ridiculous!
